The Little Dispatch has dropped!
The inaugural issue of the Rivertowns Dispatch is finally here! Look inside for the Little Dispatch, a newspaper by kids and for kids. Locals to the Rivertowns can pick up a copy of the September 6th issue at newsstands at The Good Witch in Hastings-on-Hudson, Geordanes in Irvington or Climbing Wolf in Dobbs Ferry, with more locations to come.
We are incredibly proud of the young reporters, artists, and contributors who worked hard over the summer months to bring you the first kids section of the Rivertowns Dispatch!
There’s still time to enroll in the fall Newspaper Club
Is your kid inspired by what they see? There’s still time to join us for our fall after-school class, Newspaper Club. Children enrolled in Story Salon’s Newspaper Club engage in all aspects of newspaper production, from pitching ideas to interviewing, reporting, editing, illustrating and planning for publication. At Story Salon, we support children in a collaborative and joyful environment as they gain confidence and skills in storytelling.
Through a collaborative partnership with the Rivertowns Dispatch, selected work from the Newspaper Club will be published in the Little Dispatch, the kids’ section of the print newspaper.
