Story Salon x Rivertowns Dispatch

I’m so pleased to share some exciting, breaking news....

The children's newspaper club that began at my kitchen table during the pandemic has grown over the years with the help of community members like you. (Thank you!) We're launching soon with a buzzy new name: Story Salon: A Publishing Studio for Young People.

At Story Salon, young reporters, artists and writers gather in small group settings to workshop and craft fictional and reported stories for publication in the Rivertowns' soon-to-be-launched print newspaper, Rivertowns Dispatch.

Emily Erwin McGuire, local legend to Rivertowns children, will run the magic in the classroom while I will continue to manage editorial and design. You can learn more about us here.

We couldn't be more excited about this new venture and partnership with the Rivertowns Dispatch and as we open classes to the public over the next few weeks, we would really appreciate your help! Would you help spread the word? Please forward this email to a few friends in the Rivertowns (Dobbs Ferry, Hastings-on-Hudson, Irvington and Ardsley) who might be interested in learning about our class offerings and publication announcements.

Thank you friends, readers, and grown-ups for joining our young reporters, artists and writers in their next chapter of storytelling!

With sincere gratitude,

Becky
